Young ChangeMakers
A seed funding group that supports the youth to kick start community ideas and projects
I’ve served on the panel of Young ChangeMakers for about 8 years, where the last 6 years were in the capacity of a Co-Chair for this dynamic group of Youth Catalysts.
Over the years we have listened in to hundreds of project pitches from teenage students still in school uniform, to working professionals with start-up ideas, all with the intent of creating value and positive impact for the community.
When we ear-mark projects that can work, we throw everything we have at the project to get it off the ground. We provide seed funding, mentorship, relevant agency support and whatever else we have in our personal networks, so that impact is amplified and the youth feel supported in their aspirations to do good for the community.
